The Attucks Theatre opened in Norfolk, Virginia in 1919 and was known as the ‘Apollo Theatre of the South.’ It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Platt Hollow Road sought to recapture the rich history of the fabled theatre when designing its new logo and supporting elements, including 1920’s-era letterhead styles and collectible souvenir tickets for each show.
